Garrett began his insurance career with the Co-operators in January of 2000. He spent eight months there as part of their CAT adjusting team. Garrett then worked with Galon Insurance Brokers as a personal lines broker and with Saskatchewan Government Insurance as an auto adjuster. In September 2003, he accepted a position with Dahlman Adjusters. Garrett, along with Rob and Dick purchased the company in 2007, and have since changed the name to Midwest Claims Services. Since coming to Midwest Claims Services, Garrett has handled all types of property losses including large commercial and residential water and fire losses. Garrett received his CIP designation in 2004.
Garrett was born and raised in Regina, and grew up in an insurance environment. His father is Canadian Operations Manager with SGI Canada, and his mother owned a Co-operators Agency in Regina. He currently resides in downtown Regina. He enjoys playing golf, watching NFL football, travelling and attending Dave Matthews Band concerts (38 and counting) in his time away from work.
Rob began his adjusting career with Crawford Adjusters in the fall of 2004 and came over to Dahlman Adjusters in the spring of 2006. It was then in 2007, along with partners, that he purchased into the company which is now known as Midwest Claims Services.
Through his adjusting career Rob has adjusted all lines of claims with emphasis on residential and commercial fires and large water losses. Rob also has a background of handling liability, slip and fall, and transport losses. He is currently taking his CIP classes through the Insurance Institute of Canada and only has a few classes left to obtain to get his designation.
Rob has served as the President of the CIAA Saskatchewan as well as the Membership Chair for the CIAA National Board. In addition Rob has also given time as the student rep on the Insurance Institute of Saskatchewan Board.
Rob resides in Regina with his wife and daughter. He was a former golf professional at Deer Valley Golf and Estates in Regina and is an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Nascar fan.
Dick holds a Class IV adjusting license and is very experienced in all lines of claims adjustments. Dick has been in the adjusting field since 1982 and during that time he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience handling property losses of all types including wind, fire, hail, water and burglary.
His expertise is not limited to provincial environs: Dick has also attended to several catastrophic losses in the United States during which time he handled claims for insurance companies such as Allstate, Progressive, and American Family.
Dick's background also includes extensive experience in general and professional liability losses as well as errors and omissions. His history in the field includes adjusting all dental malpractice claims for the province of Saskatchewan from 1994 to 1998.
Dick is a bodily injury specialist and currently handles auto injury losses for insurance companies across Canada. He is an expert with SGI's No-Fault auto insurance and their Personal Injury Protection Plan.
Dick attended the University of Regina and has completed various insurance and investigation courses and has attended seminars including those aimed at detection and prosecution of arson and fraud cases.
Dick was born and raised in Regina, where he resides with his two sons, Dallas and Joel.
Shari began her insurance career with SGI in 1995. While working as an adjuster in Auto Claims, Personal Injury Protection Plan, and Property Claims, she completed her CIP designation with the Insurance Institute of Canada. In addition to her extensive claims experience, she also worked with SGI's Commercial Lines Department to gain an understanding of underwriting.
With over 10 years of claims experience, Shari was pleased to join theMidwest Claims Services team in May 2008. Her experience encompasses all lines of insurance especially major liability claims, malpractice liability, and bodily injury claims.
Shari is licensed through the Saskatchewan Insurance Council and is a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association.
In her spare time, she is found teaching fitness and pilates classes.
Curtis began his adjusting career with Wawanesa Insurance in January of 2011. In July of 2011 he started at Midwest claims. Curtis has been well experienced in the handling of wind, water, and hail claims in his career. Curtis began taking CIP classes in the fall of 2011 through the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Curtis was born and raised in Regina, and currently resides in Regina with his wife Krista. He is a competitive curler on the World and Saskatchewan Curling tours. He is a Saskatchewan Roughrider season ticket holder, enjoys golfing and is an avid football and baseball fan.
Jordan began his adjusting career with Wawanesa Mutual Insurance in October of 2009. While at Wawanesa, Jordan gained experience in adjusting water, hail, and wind claims. In October of 2010, Jordan accepted a position with Midwest Claims Services. Jordan is currently licenced as a Level 1 Adjuster through the Insurance Council of Saskatchewan and has just started taking his CIP classes through the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Jordan was born and raised in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and grew up in an insurance environment. Both Jordan's grandfather and father are involved in ownership at the InsuranCentre in Tisdale. Jordan moved from Tisdale to Regina in the fall of 2006 to attend post secondary classes. In his free time, Jordan enjoys golfing and playing baseball.
John Schick has been an auto appraiser for nearly 35 years. John was employed at Saskatchewan Government Insurance for 32 years. John was manager of SGI's claims technical division. John was responsible for the development and training of SGI's appraisal staff. John has considerable experience in the appraisal of auto, semi-truck and trailer, RV's, watercraft, snowmobiles, heavy equipment, and farm machinery.
John is an expert in all aspects of auto body and mechanical investigation/repair and also has experience in auto fire loss investigation. He has undertook extensive training in both the United States and Canada and holds an interprovincial Journeyman's Certificate in auto body repair. John is an auto enthusiast through and through. In his spare time John restores classic vehicles. He is an avid hunter, curler, and NASCAR fan. We are pleased to offer John's wealth of knowledge and expertise as part of our claims service.
Frank has been in the field of insurance adjusting since 1975, prior to which he served eight years with the Regina Police Service. He specializes in fire investigation, both residential and commercial, as well as break and enter claims. His law enforcement background has availed the training necessary to recognize potential fraudulent and employee dishonesty claims.
Frank regularly adjusts Fire and Course of Construction losses in excess of $500,000.00.
Frank has completed a number of the Insurance Institute courses and has hosted loss-adjusting seminars on behalf of large brokers. He has also attained his Level II Certificate with the Canadian Fire Investigation School.
He is also very accomplished in handling liability and bodily injury claims for both Canadian and U.S. insurers.
He resides in Regina with his wife, Sharon. The have 2 kids, daughter Jodi and son Jason. They also have a granddaughter Sophie.
Nicole began her insurance career with The Co-operators in 1996. After 5 years, took a job as an auto adjuster with SGI. In 2006, she was promoted to a general adjuster. Nicole brings with her, knowledge and experience in dealing with large losses including fires, commercial losses, farm losses, hail storms, sewer backups, water escapes, and wind. Nicole also has several years of experience in auto adjusting and appraising damaged vehicles. She currently holds seven CIP classes and is working towards her designation.
Nicole lives on an acreage outside Swift Current with her husband, Darren, of 16 years and their two girls, Ashley and Hayley. In her free time, she enjoys teaching yoga and riding horses.
